Oliver Karp

Oliver Karp performing at the Palisades Symphony Opera ConcertAdam’s Music is proud to have Oliver Karp available for clarinet lessons here in our west Los Angeles music store. Oliver has served as principal clarinet with the Palisades Symphony since August 1994. He earned his Bachelor’s of Music in Clarinet Performance at USC in 1984. At USC, he was a member of the USC Honor Woodwind Quintet and the recipient of The Bruce Zalkind Award for Excellence in Woodwind Studies. While at USC, Oliver was a pupil of Mitchell Lurie.

An avid chamber musician, Oliver Karp is a member of The Los Angeles Clarinet Institute as well as The Palisades Wind Quintet and Quartet. He has also appeared as soloist on the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with the Palisades Symphony. Beginning with the 2010-2011 season, Oliver has served as the orchestra’s personnel coordinator. He also serves on the board of the USC Alumni Association of West Los Angeles.
