Adam’s Music is pleased to offer private, in-store violin and viola lessons with the talented Anna Vosbigian.
Anna graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in Music and International Studies. While at Northwestern, she studied with Almita Vamos, one of the most highly regarded violin and viola teachers in the world. She also studied with world-renowned violinist Shmuel Ashkenasi. Anna was a proud recipient of the Richard D. Colburn scholarship as a student of Danielle Belen. Check out this video of Anna performing Ravel’s String Quartet in F Major while she was still a student at Northwestern:
After graduation, Anna was part of a piano quintet for Lincoln Center Stage on Holland America Line cruises in Alaska. After preparing nine hours of multi-genre chamber music for five musicians, she performed thirteen concerts a week, plus two live score shows for a BBC Earth documentary. As a winner of the Young Stars of the Future, she soloed with the South Coast Symphony. She has also soloed with Symphony Irvine and the Luzerne Symphony Orchestra. Anna has been a member of the American Youth Symphony since high school, was concertmaster of the Colburn Chamber Orchestra, and has also performed with the Colburn Conservatory Orchestra.
Anna is a dedicated and experienced teacher as well as a gifted performer. She teaches violin and viola and conducts the orchestra and band classes at New West Charter Middle School. Anna also has a strong interest in giving back to her community and frequently performs at local retirement centers. While at Northwestern, she volunteered with Music Matters, an organization that brings musicians to hospitals to perform for long-term patients.
In addition to classical violin and viola, Anna has also studied Irish fiddling and performs in a post-modern trio. She is also a skilled pianist, and is able to accompany her students as needed.
