andrew kierszenbaum - Piano teacher LA profile

Andrew Kierszenbaum is a Los Angeles–based composer, pianist, and songwriter whose music bridges the worlds of classical training, contemporary production, and multimedia storytelling. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and classically trained at the Colburn School, Andrew combines orchestral and electronic writing with the lyricism and accessibility of popular music. Additionally, Andrew is fluent in French.

Andrew’s work has reached global audiences through film, television, and video games. His compositions can be heard in Netflix’s Arcane, winner of eight Emmy Awards, and in projects for Riot Games, where his piece “Bit Rush” was featured as a League of Legends login theme. He has collaborated extensively with composer-director Mateo Messina (Juno) as a music producer and pianist, including for the upcoming feature film Reimagined, in which he also appears on screen as conductor and performer.

In addition to his work in scoring and production, Andrew’s pop and songwriting credits include collaborations with Sting, Shaggy, and Afrojack. He co-wrote and performed on the children’s album M.Y. F.A.M.I.L.Y. by Scott and Mark Hoying of Pentatonix and co-produced the single “Give It Up” with Vera Kay. His performance career has taken him to major stages—most notably performing on piano with Sting and violinist Ray Chen during The Game Awards 2021 in Los Angeles, an event streamed live to over 85 million viewers.

At Adam’s Music, Andrew offers private lessons in piano, composition, and songwriting. His approach blends classical discipline with modern creative methods, helping students develop solid technique while encouraging musicality. Whether teaching beginners or guiding advanced students through new concepts, Andrew emphasizes storytelling through music and the emotional power of sound.
