Bill is an accomplished musician with decades of performance and teaching experience in the Los Angeles area.

Bill graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in music. While he was at UCLA, he was lucky to be able to study guitar with Theodore Norman and Jeffrey Goodman. These superb teachers helped Bill to understand and play a wide variety of guitar styles, including classical, blues, folk, rock, and jazz. They were also invaluable mentors for a future guitar teacher. Bill has gone on to teach guitar lessons to hundreds of students in schools, music stores, and in private home lessons for more than 25 years.

Bill Luke’s guitar students will also benefit from his performance experience. Becoming technically proficient at the guitar is important. A teacher with performance experience can also help students understand the requirements of playing in front of live audiences. Bill has played in hundreds of venues in Southern California, including notable places like the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, The LA Zoo, and Harvelle’s.
